2024 Chamber Music Workshop for Community Players

June 17-27, 2024

Participants in the 2024 Summer Solstice Chamber Music Workshop study and play chamber music together in a relaxed atmosphere conducive to learning. The workshop is designed to develop performance skills while also enhancing the understanding and appreciation of the art of chamber music. It is open to intermediate to advanced players in piano and strings. Each group will receive one-and-a-half to two-hour coaching sessions.

The workshop takes place in mid-June, usually concurrently with the Summer Solstice Music Festival.

This year’s coaches are string members of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra Ewald Cheung, violin; Ethan Filner, viola; Clayton Leung, viola; David Bordeleau, cello as well as Summer Solstice Festival musicians Marina Thibeault, viola; Peter Eom, cello; Patricia Tao, piano.
